Ross undid a lot of the good work they have have done over the last few weeks by coming up short against a determined Minchinhampton side on Saturday and, in doing so, took automatic promotion out of their own hands.
From the off Ross failed to deal with the wet and blustery conditions. They did not hold onto the ball for any amount of time and as a result the home side were given easy possession, and they pinned Ross into their half for almost the entire match. This was compounded by some very questionable refereeing decisions that went the way of the home side.
It was Minchinhampton who took the lead after 20 minutes, scoring wide out on the left, which was converted brilliantly from the touchline. Read the full match report in this week’s Ross Gazette.
