Goodrich Cricket Club ready for start of summer season

By Ross Gazette sports reporter in Cricket

Goodrich Cricket Club rose from its winter slumber on Sunday, April 9th as a small army of groundsmen, gardeners and budding DIYers took to the ground to begin preparations for the coming season.

With the nets hung, sightscreens erected and covers reassembled, practice began for the juniors on Tuesday evening and the seniors on Wednesday. They are in preparation for Goodrich’s opening game of the season, a two day test match against Clapham Cricket Club on Saturday and Sunday, April 22nd and 23rd. There is also a fundraising quiz starting at 7.30pm on Saturday 22nd at The Hostelrie at Goodrich, which all are welcome to attend.

With junior training at 6pm every Tuesday and Midweek t20 games every Wednesday, plus two Saturday league sides and Sunday friendlies, there is plenty of cricket for all ages and abilities. Please contact Sam on 07988749579 or please visit for more details.
