Caitlin is penalty hero as Ross-on-Wye Juniors U12s win Shield

Ross Juniors Under 12 Girls beat Tupsley 4-2 on penalties to win the HGFL Shield at Edgar Street on Friday night.

It was a match fraught with nerves and tension which only increased as Tupsley took an early lead. The match ended in a draw and then went to penalties.

Ross keeper Caitlin put in an heroic performance, saving two of Tupsley’s penalties in the shootout. Maisie, Cassie, and Naomi scored from the spot for Ross before Lily stroked in the winning penalty to give Ross a 4-2 shootout victory, and the HGFL Shield.
