Three burglaries took place in the Ross-on-Wye area yesterday (Wednesday, June 7th) and police are on the hunt for a suspicious vehicle. Local residents are urged to call 101 (or 999 if a crime is in progress) if they see a Grey Ford Transit Van, with the reg number NJ61 JGV.
Two of the three burglaries took place in Brampton Abbotts. One of these incidents took place between 10am and 2.30pm. A property was broken into and jewellery was stolen. (Crime number: 417-S-070617)
During the second incident in Brampton Abbotts, between 12.01am and 4.03pm, a home was broken into. The burglar or burglars smashed a kitchen window to enter the property. Items were stolen, and practically every drawer in the house was opened and searched. (Crime number: 527-S-070617)
For the third incident, which took place in Goodrich between 10am and 1.45pm, the burglar or burglars entered the back garden and made a hole in a window, using a screwdriver or a similar implement. They ransacked the home and stole cash and jewellery. (Crime number: 377-S-070617)
There was a fourth burglary in the Hereford and South Herefordshire area, between 8pm on Tuesday, June 6th and 8.45am on Wednesday, June 7th at Rotherwas, Hereford.
The burglar or burglars forced open a secured metal garage door to gain access. They bent the bottom part of the door upwards and stole a child’s scrambler bike from within. (Crime number: 106-S-070617)
