Shai competes in the World Pool Masters

By Ross Gazette sports reporter in Snooker

Shai Hardwick, from Ross-on-Wye, competed in the World Pool Masters 2017, held in Blackpool at the weekend.

Shai told the Gazette: “It’s one of the biggest pool tournaments in the world. There are ten different countries that play in this event.”

He added that people from all over the UK travel to Blackpool to take part.

Shai made it to the last 64 stage of the World Masters only to lose 7-6, due to an unlucky in-off white in the final frame of a match that he had trailed 6-1 in the early stages.

Nevertheless, Shai was happy with how he had played during the tournament. He commented that he has received a lot of support from family and friends, and he is very grateful of this.

Shai registered some good results along the way and he is already looking forward to playing at next year’s World Masters event.
