Car crashes into Ross-on-Wye Morrisons window

By Catherine Barkley in Crime

The window to the Morrisons Café in Ross-on-Wye was damaged last night, on Thursday, July 27th.

On the Ross-on-Wye Notice Board group on Facebook, a local woman, Beki Hatch commented: “Be careful anyone wanting to use Morrisons car park or the shop - just drove in there to get cash and a car has driven into the restaurant window! Not quite sure whats happened or whether it will be fixed by tomorrow...”

Beki told the Ross Gazette that she saw the damage yesterday at approximately 11.15pm. She said: "There were police all round the car and all over the roundabout asking people questions. All I could see was a car in the restaurant window."

The Gazette has contacted Morrisons and West Mercia Police for further information about this incident. There will be updates as soon as we have them.

Update: A spokesperson for Morrisons told the Ross Gazette: "A customer drove into the window last night at about 10.30pm. Police were called and attended. The cafe is open as normal today."
