Three sixth form students from John Kyle High School completed a 6km Mud Runner challenge last weekend (April 28) smashing their £750 fund-raising target.

The Mud Runner challenge was held at Easton Castle in Ledbury and involved running through lakes, water logged pathways and climbing over muddy obstacles.

The event saw hundreds of runners from across the region, coming together to represent different national and international charities.

Alastair Harrington, Rhys Clarkson and Ruby Johnston are fundraising for their African Charity Expedition, where they will be spending two weeks visiting Uganda and Kenya, volunteering at Kisiki College.

Head of Sixth Form at the school, Mrs Bolt, said: “Well done to all our wonderful Sixth Form students who are giving up many hours to raise this much-needed money”.
