Local man, Sean Connell, will be embarking on the first stage of his 177 mile fundraising walk along the Offa’s Dyke Path, on Wednesday, July 29th.
Sean will be walking the path, which follows the border between England and Wales from Chepstow to Prestatyn. He will complete the journey in several stages, for once or twice a month, for six to 12 months.
He will be doing the walk to raise money for Cancer Research UK, a charity very close to his heart; Sean’s father, Paul Connell, has brain cancer.
Sean told the Ross Gazette:?“I accompanied him for numerous chemo appointments at Hereford Cancer unit last year and they succeeded in shrinking the size of the tumour, he’s had it for a number of years now and I’m happy to say he will be turning 60 in August."
