A verbal report was given to Ross Town Council, at the October 10 full council meeting, by Cllr Rob Taylor on behalf of the Walkers are Welcome group.
He said: “They had their walking weekend the same weekend we had the Equinox Festival. They had the highest numbers of walkers, 300 this year, the most they’ve ever had. A number of the comments I’ve seen are that people didn’t realise how nice Ross was and rather than driving out for the walks, they’ll be staying in town in the future and walk from here.”
The festival took place from September 23 to September 25.
