Recently, members of the local community have been shocked and appalled at anti-social crime around the town, including various acts of vandalism, and the discovery of drug paraphernalia in children’s play areas.
Members of the Tudorville and District Community Centre (TDCC) were upset when they saw the recent vandalism to the outdoor gym equipment outside the community centre.
Colin Gray, Chairman of TDCC, and the Mayor of Ross-on-Wye, discovered the ruined equipment on Sunday, August 9th. He said: “It’s a shame it’s had to happen. This is the first real (negative) thing that’s happened since we took over.”
Elsewhere in the town, a Ross resident told the Ross Gazette that he has, on several occasions, discovered hypodermic needles in several areas of the town, including Dean Hill playpark, and the Market House.
The Gazette subsequently spoke with a local police community support officer, and he said they are aware of this situation, and will be investigating it.
Further acts of vandalism have been reported around Ross. For the full story, please see this week’s edition of the Ross Gazette.
