West Mercia Police have made a start to their first 24-hour Tweetathon #OpProtect.

Starting at 7am on Friday, October 28th, and for the next 24 hours they will be tweeting brief anonymised details of all 999 and 101 calls they receive.

There has been a large variety in the calls made, from accidental ‘pocket dials’, to drink drivers and thefts. The number tweeted with the incident is a reference.

An example of their tweets is this one referring to Ross-on-Wye which is number 122. ‘999 call regarding abandoned property in a field in #RossOnWye #OpProtect.
