Drivers can expect delays on the motorway this morning, Monday, October 29th, because all traffic is being held on the M50 between Newent and Ledbury following a car fire.
Queues are stationary on the motorway in both directions from Junction 3 B4221 to Junction 2 A417.
There are two fire engines from Herefordshire attending the scene, with another one from Gloucestershire.
The fire broke out at around 7.35am in an eastbound lane. The smoke blowing across the lanes has led to traffic being held in the westbound carriageway too.
Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue service have not yet revealed whether there are any injuries. It is anticipated that delays will continue until 9.15See this week’s paper for more stories like this, available in shops and as a Digital Edition now.
