Ross-on-Wye resident Mike Donovan woke up on Tuesday, October 4th, to discover his car was no longer parked outside his Brampton Street home.

Ross police recovered the silver Vectra later from an alley in town, but valuable contents relating to his work had been taken. Police have forensically examined the car in the hope of tracing the culprits.

Mr Donovan, 69, is the editor and publisher of the national farming magazine Practical Farm Ideas and columnist in Three Counties Farmer.

Mike told the Ross Gazette: “The papers, notes, promotional material that I have lost will be costly to replace and obviously have no value to the thieves, and my hope is that some will be recovered.”
