Several residents have been very upset following the death of a cat which was killed by a dog in Ryefield Road on Saturday morning, July 21st.

The incident was reported to Police by a neighbour of the cat owner, who was distraught. The police informed the Gazette that there is not an offence for dog/cat attacks however the owner of the dog will be spoken to as matter of course and reminded that the dog should not be out alone and must be under their control in future.
