A crew from Ross Fire Station were called to help rescue a cow which had got stuck in the river at Goodrich.

They called in their colleagues from Bromyard Fire Station animal rescue team to help as well as a vet from Chaseview Vetinary Clinic.

Vet, Olivia Lancaster, worked with the fire crews using specialist equipment, to ensure that they could get the cow safely back onto dry land.

A spokesperson for Ross HWFRS said: “Within 15 minutes of being rescued, she was back with the herd, a little tired and muddy, but otherwise fine.”
