Local police officers are investigating a number of crimes which took place in the Ross-on-Wye area, during the past few days. They ask that if any local residents have any further information about any of the following incidents, they call 101, and give the reference number provided.
In the first incident, which took place on Friday, April 15th, an attempt was made to break in to a hair salon in Brookend Street, through a rear door. Entry was not gained. The incident reference number is: 124-S-150416.
In another incident, a man, described as having a slight Welsh accent, used a fake £50 note at Pengethley Garden Centre, on Friday, April 15th. Local businesses in the area are advised to be aware of this. The reference number is: 485-S-150416.
A garage was broken into in Bromsash between 8pm on Saturday 16th and 5.20am on Sunday 17th. Power tools and golf clubs were stolen. If you have any further information, please call 101 and give the reference: 150-S-170416.
On Saturday, April 17th, a woman was browsing at the car boot sale, located at the Overross Industrial Estate. She placed her handbag on one of the tables to purchase some goods. She forgot to pick up the handbag, when she remembered and returned to collect it, the bag, which contained her phone and keys, had been taken. The stall holder had no recollection of the bag. The incident reference is: 263-S-170416.
There was a break-in into a lock up site at sometime over the weekend, before 6.30pm, in Phocle Green. Tools were stolen. The reference number is: 542-S-170416.
