Local police officers are investigating a number of crimes which took place in the Ross-on-Wye area, during the past few days. They ask that if any local residents have any further information about any of the following incidents, they call 101, and give the reference number provided.
Attempted theft from a school
An attempt was made overnight, on October 14th to steal oil from the tank outside Goodrich Primary School; it appears the offenders were disturbed as several empty drums were left at the scene.

Burglar steals Petrol strimmer
A shed was broken into in Broadmead, Ross-on-Wye between 6pm on October 12th and 11am on October 14th.
The offender(s) came across fields at the rear of a house and climbed the fence into the garden. They then made their way to a metal shed, where they broke the padlock off, and stole it. Entry was gained and a Makita petrol strimmer was stolen.

Window smashed and wallet stolen
Someone smashed the rear passenger window of a vehicle which was parked on Station Street, between 2pm and 5.50pm on October 14th. They then reached in and stole a wallet that had been left on the back seat.

Vehicle damaged
An attempt was made between October 15th and 16th to steal fuel from a vehicle parked in a business premises on the Overross Industrial Estate. This caused damage to the fuel cap.

Attempted burglary
An attempt was made to enter premises in Whitchurch, between 9.55pm and 10pm on October 14th.
Someone approached workshops units and found a wooden pallet and leant this up against the wall to the rear of the unit. Using this as a ladder they then used an unknown implement to force off an old extractor fan unit. This unit then fell into the building and become wedged on some internal pipe work preventing any access into the building. The audible alarm was activated and the offenders left the scene.

Quad bikes stolen
Three new quad bikes were stolen from a shed in an agricultural yard in Llangarron, overnight between 6pm on October 24th and 7.30am on October 25th.
A shipping container in the same yard was also broken into.
