Some residents from Goodrich received a telephone call on Monday, June 13th, purportedly from BT, stating that their account had been hacked.

The fraudsters kept them online for three hours, assuring them they would sort out the problem, whilst they asked for various information and bank account details.

It was later discovered that attempts had been made to withdraw funds from two of their bank accounts. However, these attempts were unsuccessful, as they had extra security settings.
