A pet dog had to be given oxygen yesterday after it was rescued from a house in Tudor Rise, Ross-on-Wye. Two fire engines from Ross attended and used breathing apparatus and hose reel jets to extinguish the fire.

An adult female and a child were also at the two-storey house and a Red Cross Support Vehicle attended to give assistance.The Highways Agency attended to grit the water run-off due to the freezing weather conditions.

A fire investigation has been opened into the incident which took place on Wednesday, November 30th at 1.20pm.
