A motorist was stopped for driving at excessive speed on the A40 in Ross-on-Wye on Thursday, January 23rd. The motorist exceeded 100mph in the 70mph limit.

The police said: "After a brief fail to stop, the driver provided a positive breath test and was arrested.

"Driver was also reported for excess speed."
