A fryer which caught fire at Burger Star, on Gloucester Road, Ross-on-Wye earlier this evening has been extinguished. A spokesperson for Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service told the Ross Gazette that they were called at 19.28 and two crews from Ross Fire Station were at the scene by 19.38.

They isolated the gas and used a powder extinguisher.

West Mercia Police were called to help with traffic and crowd control. The fire crews left the scene at 20.20.there were no reports of any casualties.
