Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service successfully freed a deer that had become entangled in fencing tape and subsequently trapped around a tree in Llanwarne. The incident, which took place on August 12 at 1.17pm, saw unit 461 mobilised to the scene.

Upon their arrival, the crews faced what they humorously described as an "oh dear" moment. Demonstrating quick thinking and improvisation, they employed a general-purpose line to secure the distressed animal. This allowed them to carefully free the deer using small tools and wire cutters.

After ensuring the deer was free from any potential injuries following its ordeal, the relieved animal was released back into its natural habitat.
