A class A drugs dealer from Gloucester has been jailed for four years.
Shane Pritchard, 29, from Kingsholm Road in Gloucester was sentenced at Gloucester Crown Court on Friday, January 27th after pleading guilty to six charges - being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine and heroin, possession with intent to supply heroin, crack cocaine and cannabis, and possession of ketamine.
Officers initially seized a phone and nearly £600 from a Ford Mondeo that Pritchard had been a passenger in when it was searched in Wellington Street in Gloucester in September. Police who pulled up next to the car decided to speak to the occupants due to the smell of cannabis.
Over £2000 of heroin, crack cocaine and cannabis was then recovered during a warrant at Pritchard’s address on Tredworth Road in December.
Analysis of the phone showed that Pritchard was involved in the supply of the class A drugs for some months.
Police Constable Gav Davis, of Gloucestershire Constabulary’s Crime Operations Unit, said: "Heroin and crack ruin lives and we were pleased to be able to put a very strong case together to take Pritchard off the streets, along with a substantial quantity of drugs.
"We encourage people to let us know about drugs crime or call Crimestoppers about it anonymously on 0800 555 111.
"Our team will continue to target the people involved."
