Hundreds of used syringes and needles, along with towels covered in blood, plasters, and general waste, have been found in the Kyrle Street Pay And Display Car Park, Ross-on-Wye.
A call was made to report the finding to Ross Town Council earlier today, Thursday, August 1st.
Two members of the Town Council’s enforcement team, who are trained to dispose of syringes and other drug paraphernalia began disposing of the waste as soon as possible. A Town Council spokesperson told the Ross Gazette they are dealt with it as quickly as possible until Herefordshire Council took over.Herefordshire Council began disposing of the waste at approximately 3pm. Waste like this is incinerated as it is a biohazard.A Herefordshire Council spokesperson said: “We would urge members of the public who come across drug paraphernalia like this to ring us urgently on 01432 261800 (24/7) and we will collect and dispose of it safely.”
