UPDATE: Police are keen to talk to anyone who witnessed an assault that happened between 2am and 2:30am on March 11th, 2018 on Broad Street, Ross-on-Wye.A man was physically assaulted by another man during the early hours of the morning of March 11th. The victim received a subdural bleed and facial injuries and is currently being treated in hospital."The police are keen to talk to anybody who witnessed this incident.Detective Constable Trudi Burgess, said: “The victim was assaulted and is understandably shaken up by this incident. A 27-year-old man from Hereford has been arrested on suspicion of Actual Bodily Harm and has been released on conditional bail. He was later transferred to the Major Trauma Centre at Birmingham Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

The ambulance service was called at 2.19am to reports that a gentleman had been assaulted. A spokesman for the West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "The man was immobilised before being taken to Hereford County Hospital."
