West Mercia Police are appealing to members of the local community who may have witnessed an assault in Nicholson Court, in the Bobblestock area of Hereford during the early hours of Sunday, February 7th.
The incident occurred after 1am on Sunday morning, when a man in his early twenties was the victim of an unprovoked and sustained assault.
He was knocked unconscious and later taken to hospital for treatment to facial injuries.
Officers investigating the assault would like to speak to a man who spoke to the victim around the time of the attack. He reportedly spoke in a European accent, and he is described as being in his late twenties, 6ft tall and of large build with a bald/shaved head. The man is believed to have been wearing dark or black clothing at the time.
Police urge anyone who witnessed the incident or who may have information that may be useful to investigations to contact them on 101, quoting the incident number 81-S-070216.
