Local fire crews had a busy evening on Monday, November 30th with a number of calls to different incidents around Herefordshire.
Crews from Ross-on-Wye Fire Station and Hereford Fire Station attended a road traffic collision at Hampton Bishop at 3.35pm. One casualty was extricated from the car and left in the care of paramedics and another casualty was also treated by paramedics. Fire crews made the vehicle safe.
Crews from Ross Fire Station assisted Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service at a house fire in Gorsley, just after 5pm. The fire was extinguished using two breathing apparatus and two hose reel jets. The incident was left with Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service.
Ross and Whitchurch fire crews attended a report of a toxic smell in an attic in Goodrich just before 9.30pm. Three firefighters wearing breathing apparatus investigated the cause of the smell. it was found to be caused by the failure of an oil-fired heater.
A Ross crew also attended a false alarm at a residential home during the afternoon.
