Police are appealing for witnesses after a motorcyclist died on the A438 at Hollybush, near Ledbury at around 11.40am on Sunday, June 30th, after a motorcycle and a car were in collision.

Two ambulances, a paramedic officer and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Strensham were sent to the scene.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “On arrival, ambulance staff found members of the public carrying out basic life support on the rider.

“They immediately took over and provided advanced life support, but sadly it wasn’t possible to save him and he was confirmed dead at the scene.”The incident involved a BMW and a Ducati motorbike. The BMW was heading towards Eastnor while the motorbike was travelling in the opposite direction when they collided.The rider of the motorbike - a man in his 50s - suffered fatal injuries. His next of kin has been informed and a file is being prepared for the coroner.Officers are keen to speak with anyone who saw the incident, or who saw the vehicles and the manner in which they were being driven prior to the collision.Anyone with information is asked to call West Mercia Police on 101 quoting incident number 318S of 30 June.
