Gloucestershire police are investigating a fatal road traffic collision that happened at 5.13pm yesterday (Monday 24th October) on the B4215 at Rudford.

The collision involved a red Yamaha 125 motorcycle, ridden by an 18-year-old man from Newent, and a blue Fiat Punto car, driven by a 21-year-old woman from Plymouth.

Despite the best efforts of members of the public, paramedics and air ambulance staff, the motorcyclist was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

The car driver was badly shaken but otherwise uninjured.
