A serious road traffic collision took place along the A40 in Ross-on-Wye yesterday afternoon (Thursday, February 25th), just before 1pm. A single car collided with a barrier. No other vehicles were involved.
The driver of the vehicle, a woman in her 60s, has sustained potentially life changing lower leg injuries, and she was taken to Southmead Hospital in Bristol, via air ambulance.
The emergency services have released a photograph of the car, following the collision.
Highways temporarily closed the dual carriageway in both directions. The road was reopened at 3.20pm.
