Officers in the Forest of Dean are appealing for witnesses to an attempted robbery which took place in Lydney on Tuesday, April 2nd.

A man reported that he had been threatened with a knife before sustaining a cut to his arm.

This incident was reported to have happened on Church Road at around 1pm.

A spokesperson for the police said: "If you were in the area at the time or witnessed this taking place please call 101 with incident 190 of 2 April."
