Gloucestershire police have recently been running operations to target drug dealers.

Operation Emperor is part of this crackdown on drugs. The aim is to send a strong message to criminals that Gloucestershire isn’t a soft location to sell drugs.

A high number of murders in Gloucestershire in recent years have had a drugs element and many of the knife crime incidents that police investigate are related to drugs. By tackling the root cause of these problems, the police are hoping to make Gloucestershire a safer place.

As part of the operation, Gloucestershire Police have arrested and charged over 50 people.
