A police helicopter was spotted hovering over Ross-on-Wye at about 1am this morning (Monday, January 4th.)

Many local residents noticed the helicopter, and several discussions were shared on local social media groups, such as the Ross-on-Wye notice board on Facebook.

A spokesperson from West Mercia Police confirmed that the police helicopter was out and about during the early hours this morning. They told the Ross Gazette: "We were called at 1.10am this morning, following reports of a burglary at an address at Glevum Close. Officers attended and a police helicopter assisted."
