Police officers and fire fighters launched a rescue operation on Thursday, October 26th, after receiving a report that a man had fallen into the River Wye near to Symonds Yat Caravan Park.

The incident was reported to police at 8.09pm and a major resuce attempt was launched. However the man was found safe near to the river bank at around 1am on Friday, October 27th. The man, who is 31, was taken to hospital where his injuries are not thought to be serious.
