A Rogue Trader offence occurred in the Gorsley area on Friday, October 16th.

An elderly lady agreed with a ’cold caller’ to have her chimney re-pointed. The man then demanded £350 cash upfront for the work.

The man was also working on a neighbouring property and his work was said to be substandard.

The Police and Trading Standards attended and spoke with the man.

He gave the lady her cash back, and he is now being dealt with through Trading Standards.
