A grieving family are very distressed after a poppy was stolen from their baby son’s grave.
Rhys Thomas Davies was born on Januarly 28th, 2008 and passed away on May 7th, 2009. His parents, Caroline and Richard, visit his grave regularly and have a few special items on it.
Last week they discovered that a slate poppy which was planted in the ground had been stolen from their little boy’s grave. It was quite distinctive and was deep in the ground on a metal stake and quite heavy and sturdy.
Rhys’ parents have searched for it in the graveyard in case someone had just moved it, as this is what happened to their photo plaque a few months ago, which they found damaged in the middle of the graveyard. But they say that this poppy has definitely been stolen.
If anyone has any information please contact the Ross Gazette on 01989 562007 who will pass on the message to Caroline or Richard or message them through their Facebook page.
