Two teenage boys were arrested in Lydney in the early hours of Monday, July 1st, after a member of the public reported suspicious activity in Bishops Gate.

The boys, who are aged 14 and 16, appeared to be trying car doors and when police arrived they were both arrested on suspicion of vehicle interference and going equipped to commit crime.

The 14 year-old was also arrested on suspicion of being in possession of an offensive weapon.

Both were taken into custody for questioning and have since been released under investigation.
