Members of the Ross Safe Neighbourhood Policing Team have two property marking events in Ross-on-Wye coming up.

The team will be carrying out security marking for power tools and bicycles, at Screwfix on the Ashburton Industrial Estate on May 14th from 7am until finish

The second event will be on Saturday, June 9th at the front of Jen’s Café at the Cattle Market from 9am – 2pm.

They will use special marking pens and a lacquer spray to set the writing, which can not be removed. By permanently marking the product it makes it much more difficult to sell items on, if they are stolen. This also lowers its sale value to the thief.
