The Emergency services were called at approximately 11.15am today (Wednesday, June 8th) to a road traffic collision at the crossroads at Old Gore, near Ross-on-Wye.

Two casualties were taken to hospital following the crash.

The West Midlands Ambulance Service, West Mercia Police, and the Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service were all in attendance at the incident.

A spokesperson for the West Midlands Ambulance Service told the Ross Gazette that they received a call at 11.40am today. They were called to the junction at Old Gore where the A449 meets the B4224. The caller reported that two vehicles had been involved in the collision, and one had overturned.

Two ambulances were sent to the scene, and one man said he was suffering with back pain. Both drivers were found to be out of their vehicles upon the ambulances’ arrival. Both casualties were taken to Hereford County Hospital.

A spokesperson for West Mercia Police told the Gazette that the collision involved two vans. They added that the road was closed for a while to recover the vehicles and clear a fuel spillage.There will be more updates here as soon as we have them.
