Police are investigating two thefts from local churches, which both took place on Easter Monday.
Cash was stolen from a collection box in St Bartholomew’s Church, Much Marcle between 11am and 6.30pm on Monday, April 17th. (Incident number 0629S 170417)
This follows another theft from St Bartholomew’s Church, which took place on Friday, April 7th.
After this incident, the Ross Gazette reported that a possible suspect was seen in the church at the time of the theft. This suspect is male, 5’3" in height, with wavy dark hair. He was reportedly well dressed in a shirt and trousers, but did not have a jacket.
The second theft that took place on Easter Monday was from St Deinst Church in Llangarron. This took place on April 17th, between 8am and 6pm. A key safe was ripped off the wall and the safe was stolen along with the contents. (Incident number 0590S 170417).
