A second child has died following a fatal collision in Ledbury. The children have been named as Ray and Reya Wang.
The collision happened at approximately 11:25pm on Sunday, September 24th on the A438 between Trumpet crossroads and Ledbury, near to Falcon Lane.
A Honda Civic, with a twenty nine year old male driver, who was the sole occupant, was travelling in the direction of Ledbury and was involved in a collision with a VW Tiguan, which was travelling in the direction of Hereford, with a family of five onboard, including three children aged seven, five and two years of age. The driver of the Honda Civic was pronounced deceased on scene.
All five occupants of the VW Tiguan sustained serious injuries and were transferred to Birmingham Children’s Hospital and Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham.
Sergeant Andrew Wortley said "Tragically, on Monday, September 25th 2017, Ray Wang (aged seven years) died from his injuries in Birmingham Children’s Hospital. Ray was a former pupil of St. Paul’s Church of England school, Hereford, and had recently started at Hereford Cathedral School.
"On Wednesday, September 27th 2017, Reya Wang (aged two years) also died from her injuries at Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
"Specially trained Police officers are supporting the families involved. We will be carrying out a thorough investigation into the collision and I would urge people not to speculate about its cause.

A five year old child remains in a serious but stable condition in hospital. A thirty-eight year old female remains in a critical but stable condition in hospital. A thirty-five year old male has since been discharged from hospital. The family ask for their privacy to be respected at this difficult time.
