Three men have been detained in connection with a burglary which took place in Brockhampton, near Ross-on-Wye yesterday (Thursday, April 7th.)
The burglary took place at approximately 9.20am yesterday morning. Crow bars were used in order to gain access to a shed and a padlock was broken. A garden fork was most likely used to gain access to the property.
The police were called minutes after the burglary took place. As they were en-route to the address, the suspects left the scene in a vehicle which was believed to have been stolen from Gloucestershire.Two police vehicles were damaged as the suspects attempted to leave the scene but no-one was injured. The vehicle stopped on Capler Lane, Brockhampton, and the suspects left the car on foot.A 24 year-old man, a 28 year-old man and a 31 year-old man were arrested on suspicion of burglary dwelling with intent to steal and are currently in police custody.Due to the rural location of the offence, the police helicopter was also called to assist, but it was not needed.
