High Street in Ross-on-Wye was closed for a short time this afternoon, Thursday, October 19th after a vehicle burst into flames.
The driver of a van was parked in a loading bay when he noticed smoke coming from the vehicle, then it suddenly burst into flames.
A passerby, who was visiting the town from Birmingham, ran to a nearby shop and grabbed a fire extinguisher in an attempt to put out the fire. However within a few minutes Ross Fire Fighters arrived and extinguished the fire.
Police officers were also at the scene.
