West Mercia Police is appealing for witnesses following a serious collision on the A40 near Lea in Ross-on-Wye over the weekend.

The head on collision happened on Sunday, November 22nd at 6:45pm and involved a silver Subaru Impreza, which was travelling towards Gloucester, and an LGV, travelling in the opposite direction.

A blue Vauxhall Vectra is also believed to have been involved and came to a stop in a hedgerow.

The driver of the Subaru, a 21 year-old-man, sustained serious head and leg injuries. The LGV driver, a 37 year-old-man, was uninjured.

Officers are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident or saw any of the vehicles prior to the collision. If you have any information please call police on the non-emergency 101 number quoting incident reference number 543s of Sunday 22nd November.
