The window in the front door of a Ross-on-Wye salon, The Beauty Bar on Hill Street, was smashed overnight, between yesterday evening (April 25th) and this morning (April 26th).
Lauren Yeoman, who owns The Beauty Bar, told the Ross Gazette that appointments at the salon are postponed this morning. She said: "We can’t get in as there seems to be damage to the door."
She added that whoever smashed the window did not gain entry to the shop, and the incident has been reported to the police. She added that she is currently waiting for the forensics team to attend the scene.
Commenting on the incidents, Investigating officer, PC Atherton said, "We have received a number of reports following a series of burglaries and criminal damage that took place overnight in Ross-on-Wye.“I would like to reassure the community that a thorough investigation is underway and increased patrols are being conducted in the area. “We are interested to hear from anyone who has seen or heard anything suspicious around the Rope Walk, Over Ross Street and The Hill Street area of Ross-On-Wye. Particularly between the hours of 11:30pm last night and 7am this morning.
