Gwent Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision on Mitchell Troy Road in Monmouth.

The collision involved one vehicle, a black Ford Fiesta and took place around 12.50pm on Wednesday, December 27th 2017.

The 19 year old male driver was sadly pronounced deceased at the scene. His family are being supported by Specialist officers.

The passenger, a 15 year old girl, was taken to University Hospital Wales with minor injuries.
