Despite the efforts of bystanders, and a crew from West Midlands Ambulance Service, a woman died on Wilton Lane, Ross-on-Wye, yesterday afternoon, Tuesday, April 23rd.
WMAS told the Ross Gazette that they were called at 5pm to reports of a patient in cardiac arrest opposite the White Lion, Wilton.
Two ambulances, a paramedic officer and the Midlands Air Ambulance attended. On arrival the crews found a woman in cardiac arrest being given CPR by bystanders.
The WMAS spokesperson said: “The crew took over resuscitation efforts but sadly there was nothing that could be done and the woman was confirmed dead a short time later.”
West Mercia Police told the Ross Gazette that they were called at around 5.10pm to reports of a concern for welfare for a woman in her 50s on Wilton Lane, Ross-on-Wye. They said that the death is not being treated as suspicious at this time.
