The female passenger in a car which was involved in a three vehicle collision on the A40, near Weirend, Ross-on-Wye, was taken to Hereford Hospital on Saturday, June 24th.
The car suffered side damage but the 39-year-old woman was able to leave the vehicle through the drivers side. She was suffering severe pain in her left ankle. She was given pain relief and put in a splint before being taken to hospital.
The male driver of the vehicle was unhurt, as was a child who was also in the car. The 45-year-old male driver of the van was badly bruised but discharged at the scene. The occupants of the other vehicle were unhurt.
A fire crew from Ross and a crew from South Wales attended the incident which happened at about 9.15am. The vehicles were made safe by firefighter personnel. The Police were also in attendance.
