An unidentified car crashed through a fence of a residential property in Cockyard, Herefordshire, at 12.30am on Sunday, May 29th. The householder was woken by the collision and they saw that a car had crashed into their garden. They also saw a group of young people stood around the car.
When the security light of the property came on and the youths saw the resident walking up the drive, before he could challenge them, they put the detached parts into the car, jumped in and sped off towards Kingstone, with the passenger door hanging open.
It is thought the car was a small hatchback, silver or possibly pale blue, made in 2002 or later, with a vertical style tailgate and brake lights, towards the top of the light cluster, probably Corsa, Fiesta, Citroen C1 or similar, with significant damage to front end and probably driver side.
Police are investigating this incident. If you witnessed anything or have any further information, please call 101 and give the reference 23-S-300516.
