Kyrle Probus Club member, Jim Hamilton, presented the second part of his Canadian Adventure with a talk on Thursday, September 6th, highlighting the spectacular views and stunning lakes and waterfalls in the Rocky Mountain range.

Jim helped to celebrate Canada’s 150th Anniversary, with a colourful tour including free entry to the country’s National Park, during his own wedding anniversary trip.

He also commemorated Canada Day, which is a national celebration on July 1st, with a memorable trip featuring a cable car ride on the 8,000 foot Mount Jasper. And he also saw a series of thundering waterfalls as the end of spring melted the snow-clad mountains.

Another feature was the blood-red sunrises shining over the canyons and gorges covered in a carpet of rare flowers.

A panorama of pine forests; sheer rock faces; eagles’ nests and grizzly bears were among the many added bonuses which made the tour so special.

Part One of Jim’s Canadian Adventure took in Toronto and Vancouver Island, bear and whale-watching and vineyards.

Kyrle Probus Club meets at the Conservative Club in Ross at 10.30am on the first and third Thursday of every month, when interesting talks are given by either members or invited speakers.
